On Friday, a video appeared on YouTube promoting the features and showing off gameplay for Microsoft’s upcoming first-party Xbox 360 exclusive, Forza Motorsport 4.
Coincidentally, Friday happened to be April 1 which would cast a shadow of doubt on the video given most stories on the web that day were poor attempts at humor via misinformation. Over at VGChartz, they’ve confirmed with Microsoft that the video, labeled for internal use only, is in fact legitimate and more information and goodies are coming in the “near future.”
We already knew from pre-Kinect launch promotional videos that Forza 4 might utilize Kinect’s motion-tracking to allow players to explore a car using hand motions and gesture. That functionality is now confirmed, along with complete in-racing Kinect controls including steering and head motion-tracking that allows you to peek out your side windows without a controller.
Forza Motorsport 4 is coming to Xbox 360 with Kinect support this October. Pre-order Forza 4 now for $59.99 at Amazon.com.
