On Friday, Starz debuted the new Torchwood series Torchwood: Miracle Day with the episode ‘The New World.’ It is the fourth Torchwood series and first to be broadcast on Starz. Thanks to Starz, it’s already available to stream online.
I’ve yet to watch the premiere (it’s on my DVR, waiting patiently for me) but according to the show’s synopsis, all three surviving members from the previous Torchwood series have returned for Miracle Day, which serves as a continuation of the BBC series. In Miracle Day, the last two remaining Torchwood team members are in hiding but are called out when a mysterious email makes the rounds to various U.S. intelligence agencies and the people of Earth stop dying.
Torchwood: Miracle Day stars John Barrowman, Bill Pullman, Mekhi Phifer, Eve Myles, Lauren Ambrose, Alexa Havins, Arlene Tur and Kai Owen.
