A&E’s Duck Dynasty returns tonight with the fifth episode of Season 4 titled ‘Termite be a Problem.’ It shifts the focus from a wager surrounding getting a boat down from a tree to a termite infestation at Duck Commander that’s bad enough to displace the gang and force them into another space where a surprise package shows up. Last week the Duck Call Room helped spawn a series of friendly bets that quickly escalated into something more substantial. That something turned out to be Jase and Willie going to Kay and Phil’s house and competitively trying to get a boat down from a tree. Don’t even ask or try to think about how a boat gets stuck in a tree in the first place, but it does involve a natural disaster.
All of this wagering started from some bickering between the two brothers after Jase and Missy were invited over to Willie and Korie’s house while their kitchen was being renovated. Jase, showing a complete lack of respect for his brother, sat in Willie’s favorite chair, and watched a recorded sporting event that Willie had saved for later. The kicker was Willie sitting in the chair afterward and it was actually wet.
Tonight’s ‘Termite be a Problem’ episode title is a big hint as to what’s going down. From the episode’s official synopsis we learn that termites have infested Duck Commander and they need removed before work can safely resume. That means the boys end up a Godwin’s house as an alternative place of work, and in doing so they end up running into a surprise.
Apparently Godwin is going to take receipt of a taxidermied “gift” from a past relative. This gift will appear as if it holds some value, so Godwin and the boys will set off to try and determine what it’s worth. Elsewhere in the Duck Dynasty universe, Miss Kay will enlist the aid of Willie and Korie to help with the Golden 60’s club.
A sneak peek clip also tells us that at some point in the episode, Jep is going to show up with some new sneakers that has a twist. Those were popular maybe a decade ago and for a few months at that. Any way, Jep at least gets a dunk in before the jokes erupt.
