AMC’s Breaking Bad kept the pedal to the metal last week as ‘To’hajiilee’ ended with an explosive confrontation that could spell the end for one or more of the show’s main characters. Tonight’s episode ‘Ozymandias’ is directed by Rian Johnson (Looper) and will determine the fate of Hank, Jesse, Gomez and several others, as well as push the show to only two episodes left until the series finale. There is no official free live online streaming version of tonight’s Breaking Bad episode 14 to watch online, but live stream options valid once the episode has finished airing on AMC are presented below. Beware of massive ‘To’hajiilee’ spoilers from here onward.
Deception was a big theme in last week’s episode as Walt finally decided it was time to take Jesse out and Jesse, in return, decided to do the same to his former boss. As it often the case with Breaking Bad, nothing ever goes exactly as planned or is as simple as it seems on the surface. It is always a fantastically thrilling ride wrought with tension and suspense.
The deceipt starts with Hank whom uses a fake picture of a murdered Jesse to get Huell to turn on Walt and reveal details about the money that Walt hid. The plan works and Hank discovers that a van was used to move the money in large barrels, and the money was then buried somewhere – most likely in the desert. With Hank’s plan complete, it’s time for Walt to hatch a plan of his own.
Walt tries to lure Jesse out of hiding and into a hit by Jack’s men, Walt visits Jesse’s old flame Andrea and has her leave a voicemail. Unfortunately for Walt the message ends up going to Hank, whom is in possession of Jesse’s cell, and Hank laughs it off knowing full well it’s bait for a trap. It’s time for Jesse and Hank to strike back with a trick of their own.
The van that Walt used to bury the money didn’t have a GPS but Walt doesn’t know that. So, instead, Jesse photographs himself all dirty and with a barrel and sends it to Walt, insinuating that the money is now theirs. All Walt has ever wanted from his years of crime was to provide for his family after he’s gone so he can’t let Jesse and Hank get it. Walt falls for the trap and heads into the desert where the money is, with Hank, Gomez and Jesse tailing him the whole way.
Walt knows he’s been had as soon as he arrives at the desert hiding spot and nothing has been touched. Realizing this, Walt hides on a hill as Jesse and Hank arrive. Jesse realizes the spot Walt chose is where they shared their first meth cook. Beaten, Walt eventually comes out of hiding and gives himself up.
As Walt is being taken into custody by Hank, Jack’s men show up as Walt had requested as backup and a confrontation ensues. Walt tries to wave them off but it’s too late. Walt dives down for cover on the floor of the SUV as gunfire erupts between Jack’s men and a badly outnumbered Hank and Jesse.
Do Hank, Gomez and Jesse live or die? We’ll find out soon enough, but obviously there will be major repercussions to this desert gunfight. The official synopsis for ‘Ozymandias’ reads, “Everyone copes with radically changed circumstances.” No kidding. The only thing we know for certain is that Walt lives as evidenced by the flash-forward at the beginning of the season.
