FX’s American Horror Story: Coven awakens from its winter break to reignite the modern-day witch tale and commence the final five episodes with episode 10 ‘The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks.’ As the name implies, a special guest star will be playing herself on AHS: Coven and be instantly recognizable. Tonight’s all-new episode of AHS and midseason premiere will bring strange and freaky back to Wednesday nights when we watch American Horror Story: Coven online streaming on FX’s VOD portal.
Last month’s midseason AHS finale began with Hank the witch hunter and his father taking down a witch in the woods in a flashback scene. When Hank can’t kill the witch, she manages to set Hank’s dad on fire and teaches the young hunter that you can never underestimate a witch. This will certainly play a role in Hank’s present day witch hunting activities and possibly lead to the end of his wife, the witch Cordelia.
In one of but many crazy sequences on Coven this season, Myrtle Snow poisons the council and takes their eyes to give to Cordelia. Voila, Cordelia can now see, though the council is now dead. Cordelia loses her ability to spot transgressions in anyone she touches, but I suspect her returned eyesight will serve a purpose before the American Horror Story: Coven finale rolls around.
Though Fiona finally stumbles upon Kyle and ends up playing cards with him, the big revelation in ‘Head’ was Queenie taking possession of Delphine’s severed, though still chatty head and trying to torture it with a Roots marathon. This doesn’t really work, so Queenie subjects Delphine LaLaurie to defining moments from the Civil Rights Movement at the beauty shop.
Before Queenie can finish her torture-by-media session, Hank storms in the beauty shop and starts shooting up everyone, including Queenie. This actually drives Delphine’s head to tears, a touching moment amidst chaos that she might not have been the total racist Queenie thought she was. Before Hank can shoot Marie Delphine, wounded Queenie shoots herself in the head which, by way of Queenie’s voodoo powers, kills Hank as well. Watch American Horror Story: Coven on FX tonight to see the aftermath of this bloodbath that thinned out the cast list by a pair.
