Today Warner Brothers Home Video released their first four Blu-ray Disc titles much to the delight of BD fans and dismay of the HD-DVD camp. Within each title is a marketing brochure with a list of additional titles due this Summer, meaning they should be announced in the weeks ahead.
The new Blu-ray Disc titles that are already available on or announced for HD-DVD include “The Fugitive”, “The Perfect Storm”, “Caddyshack”, “Swordfish”, “Blazing Saddles”, “Syriana”, “Full Metal Jacket”, “House of Wax (2005)”, “Lethal Weapon”, “16 Blocks”, “Million Dollar Baby”, “FIrewall” and “The Searchers”.
All new high definition that will probably show up on HD-DVD as well include “Space Cowboys”, “Under Seige”, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and “Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride”. That final title will be the closest thing to animation released on either high definition format to date.
