Syfy’s Warehouse 13 returns this evening to kick off season 3 with a new face and the same quirky humor. The premiere is part of a Syfy triple-play that sees the return of not only Warehouse 13 but also Eureka and the debut of Alphas.
When we last left agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) at the conclusion of season 2, Myka had decided to leave the top secret team with little to no warning. As season 3 begins, Artie (Saul Rubinek) fills Myka’s shoes with ‘The New Guy,’ which also happens to be the name of the season premiere episode.
That new guys is ATF agent Steve Jinks, portrayed by Aaron Ashmore who you may recognize from Smallville. His style won’t exactly mesh with Pete and Artie’s as the preview clips and trailers below suggest. It’s unclear right now if the field team will expand to three operatives if/when Myka returns, or if Ashmore’s character is permanently taking over for Myka in the field and Myka will find other ways to be useful.
