One of the new Criterion Blu-ray Disc titles coming later this year won’t be chosen by the publisher. Instead, Criterion has joined forces with Amazon.com to create a promotion where our vote will determine the movie ultimately selected.
The movies from which you can select from to cast your vote include Au Revoir Les Enfants, Down By Law, Howards End, Kwaidan, and Picnic at Hanging Rock. All have been previously released on DVD as part of the Criterion Collection.
Peter Becker, President of the Criterion Collection, explains why these five films made the cut to be part of the promotion. You’ll also find images and videos from each film over at Amazon to aid in your decision making process.
