HBO has announced an April 14, 2013 premiere date for the second season of Armando Iannucci’s policitally charged comedy Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The second season will run ten episodes, a two episode bump from Season 1’s eight.
Returning with Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the second season are Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, and Sufe Bradshaw. Confirmed for guest starring appearance in Season 2 are Kevin Dunn and Gary Cole.
Veep is coming off a successful freshman campaign that nabbed an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Louis-Dreyfus. Additionally, show earned a nomination for Best Comedy Series but did not win.
Veep airs Sundays beginning April 14 at 10/9c on HBO and HBO Go following new episodes of Game of Thrones: Season 3.
