Van Helsing Takes Aim at Blu-ray

Hugh Jackman will have a busy fall on Blu-ray Disc with the anticipated release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine from Fox Home Entertainment and new confirmation that Universal is bowing Van Helsing on September 15.

Van Helsing, from director Stephen Sommers (GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Mummy), co-stars Kate Beckinsale and Richard Roxburgh in the story of a legendary monster hunter sent to Transylvania to bring down the biggest and baddest monsters of them all.

On Blu-ray, Van Helsing will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p video, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and include D-BOX Motion Code.

Bonus features are extensive but appear to be nearly identical to those of the previously released collector’s edition DVD and HD DVD.
