Earlier today we shared news that Joe Johnston’s The Wolfman starring Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving would be coming to Blu-ray and DVD on June 1. This update is to fill in the gaps of that announcement.
I can now confirm that The Wolfman Blu-ray release will include the 1 hour 43 minute theatrical cut as well as an all-new 1 hour 59 minute unrated cut on the first disc. A second disc is dedicated to a digital copy.
All 17 minutes of additional footage were promised by Johnston months ago. They were deleted from the theatrical cut to speed up the time needed to reach the first wolf transformation scene.
In addition, we have gotten our hands on The Wolfman Blu-ray cover art which you can check out below. Amazon.com has yet to offer up a pre-order link but we have our eyes open for it to appear.
