Another former HD DVD exclusive has been given a Blu-light by Universal with news the Robert Redford and Brad Pitt 2001 thriller Spy Game is coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 19.
Spy Game made its HD DVD debut on August 22, 2006 with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio in addition to a 1080p transfer. The same transfer will port to Blu-ray in its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio while audio will get bumped up to lossless with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track.
Bonus features have been expanded from HD DVDs offering with BD-Live accessibility and a Playstation 3 controller users guide.
