Updated: ‘How the West Was Won’ Coming to Blu-ray; Packaging Added

We’ve added an interior “beauty shot” of How the West Was Won on Blu-ray for a nice high resolution look at the total package.

Warner Home Video has announced the western classic How the West Was Won will ride onto Blu-ray August 26 in an all-new remastered audio and video presentation.

How the West Was Won on Blu-ray will be presented in its original 2.89:1 aspect ratio in 1080p video, along with Dolby Digital 5.1.audio.

Blu-ray exclusive “Coffee table” or “digi-book” will be utilized that includes an exclusive 32-pages of rare press materials and behind-the-scenes photos.

Also exclusive to Blu-ray is the “SmileBox” version of the film that will cleverly recreate the true Cinerama experience in your home. How the West Was Won is only one of two feature-length films to be produced in the original Cinerama three-panel widescreen process.

Other supplemental features that will also appear on one of two DVD editions releasing the same day include a Film Historian Commentary; Dave Strohmaier’s critically-acclaimed, feature-length documentary Cinerama Adventure; The Making of How the West Was Won (Archival featurette); and the Original Theatrical trailer.

How the West Was Won on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $34.99. Check back regularly for high resolution cover art and pre-order information.
