While Ryan Reynolds is off in Louisiana shooting Warner’s The Green Lantern movie, Lionsgate is prepping to release a much smaller film starring the popular actor later this year.
In Buried, Reynolds plays a contractor working in Iraq who is bludgeoned into unconsciousness. When he awakens, he finds himself buried under the ground in a tight box with only a cell phone and lighter to plan an escape before his air runs out.
The Buried trailer is short on light and imagery but high on fear. I cannot even imagine being put in that situation. It makes the Phone Booth film concept seem like a day on a beach.
