Buena Vista Home Entertaiment is planning to release Disney’s ‘Underdog’ December 18 on Blu-ray Disc, day-and-date with the standard DVD debut. ‘Underdog,’ as my mother-in-law reminds me, is the super dog movie where the dog actually talks — just like he does in the cartoon the film is based on.
Technical specs aren’t available yet given the distant release date, though you can certainly expect typical Buena Vista PCM lossless audio and a 1080p video transfer.
Extra features appearing on the DVD and Blu-ray Disc include bloopers & deleted scenes; Diary of a Dog Actor featurette; Underdog original cartoon episode; and Underdog Raps: a Kyle Massey music video. Exclusive to the Blu-ray version are additional deleted scenes and a second original cartoon.
‘Underdog’ will carry an SRP of $34.99. Keep your eyes peeled in the weeks ahead for high resolution cover art.
