CBS used the Super Bowl to air the first teaser for Under the Dome, the upcoming scripted series based off the popular Sci-fi book by Stephen King.
In Under the Dome, lives in a small New England town are turned upside down when a mysterious transparent dome appears. No one in the town can get out and no one from the outside can get in, and the town’s people must figure out a way to not only survive without contact or supplies from the outside, but also why the dome appeared in the first place and who is responsible for it.
Production is gearing up to commence on Under the Dome with casting already underway. Already signed or rumored to be on board are Natalie Martinez (CS: New York), Jolene Purdy (Glee), Colin Ford (Supernatural), Britt Robertson (The Secret Circle), Alexander Koch (Underemployed) and Nicholas Strong (Nashville).
Under the Dome is created by Brian K. Vaughan and will run a total of 13 episodes this summer. A premiere date on CBS has not been set.
