Assassin’s Creed 3 may be jumping the Atlantic and a couple centuries when Ubisoft releases the next full-fledged sequel in the ongoing assassination-themed franchise.
A Best Buy employee sent an image snapped from a company newsletter over to Kotaku that depicts an assassin, the same pose as previous Assassin’s Creed games, armed with a quiver, bow, arrows, pistol and axe. He stands before a tattered Continental American flag, 13 stars and all, and wears a jacket reminiscent of those worn for combat during the 18th century.
In other words, this assassin is ready to kill and scalp during none other than the American Revolution.
The Best Buy employee newsletter claims that Assassin’s Creed 3 will be formally unveiled by Ubisoft next Monday, March 5. There will be pre-order bonuses, of course, as is customary with just about every high profile game these days.
What you really want to see is the Assassin’s Creed 3 artwork, ready for viewing consumption below. It looks pretty legitimate to me. If it’s not, then someone has way too much time on their hands.
