Online retailer Amazon.com is trying to move as many Blu-ray pre-order copies of Fox’s Homeland: Season 1 and Sons of Anarchy: Season 4, as well as Anchor Bay’s The Walking Dead: Season 2 and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire: Season 2, as they can a day before their August 28 release date.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 on Blu-ray went on sale a couple days ago for $29.99 and has been a fixture in the top three of Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart top ever since. It is also Amazon’s Blu-ray Deal of the Week, which tells us that the $29.99 sale price will end this upcoming Saturday. The SRP is $69.99 so the $29.99 sale price is 57% off of that.

Fox has two big Blu-ray releases this week in Sons of Anarchy: Season 4 and Homeland: Season 2. Both are priced at $24.99, a big 64% off their $69.98 price, and they sit in Amazon’s top 10 in positions 5 and 6, respectively.

Last but not least is the second season of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, complete with its controversial ending depending on how much you care about a certain character. Amazon has it priced at $34.99 or 56% off its $79.98 list price, low enough to secure it the seventh spot on Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart.
