The first official teaser promo for HBO’s True Blood: Season Four was released over the weekend. Don’t get your hopes up for the first footage from what should be the “season of the witches” despite production having being underway for well over a month.
The 30-second spot is nothing more then a play on the witch angle with HBO proclaiming they are “casting a new spell” for this season. Seeds for witches and witchcraft were planted in the latter episodes of season three, but this season the witches are expected to be at the core of True Blood’s main plot lines.
True Blood’s Season Four premiere date has not been set yet. If HBO follows the pattern of previous seasons, which they are likely to do, then look for the premiere sometime in June.
In the meantime, pre-orders are already available for the Blu-ray and DVD versions of True Blood: Season Three, due in stores sometime in May.
