HBO has been busy on the True Blood: Season 5 publicity front over the past week or so. The goodies faucet first delivered the first poster from the upcoming season, then a barrage of images featuring several previously unseen members of the Vampire Authority. Oh, and also the first footage featuring the new vampire bad-ass played by Christopher Meloni.
There’s plenty of True Blood favorites in the new images as well as the new crew. For example, the first image below features Sookie and Lafayette in a car with the latter looking incredible depressed. Whether that depression comes from his possessed body killing his boyfriend in last season’s finale or something else entirely different remains to be seen.
I’ve displayed the images below so that the familiar faces are first and the new ones including the well-dressed and clearly ticked off Vampire Authority come after. Check out newcomers Carolyn Hennesy (Cougar Town), Peter Mensah (Spartacus), Christopher Meloni (Oz), Valentina Cervi, Scott Foley, and young actor Jacob Hopkins. The cast photos begin right after the Christopher Meloni teaser trailer and Season 5 teaser poster.
True Blood: Season 5 kicks off on Sunday, June 10 at 9/8c.
