Bad blood between the vampires and witches continues to boil as True Blood season 4 marches on. Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) has a severe case of amnesia thanks to a nasty spell, while Bill is starting to take heat for allowing Eric to confront the witches in the first place.
In the next episode ‘I’m Alive and On Fire,’ Bill becomes further entangled with the witches as he’s tasked by the vampire league to find out exactly what happened to Eric and deal with it. Eric, meanwhile, continues to show his new “innocent” side, even after munching on and eliminating someone close to Sookie. Feeling overwhelmed in harboring Eric whose vampire instincts are not supressed despite his loss of memory, Sookie turns to an old friend in Alcide (Joe Manganiello).
Over in what feels like the other end of the supernatural world, Jason feels like he’s clinging to life while the were-panthers use him to increase their numbers. Does this week’s new episode title ‘I’m Alive and On Fire’ refer to a newly reborn Jason? It certainly sounds like something he’d say.
Below are three clips from the new episode that you can check out before it premieres later this evening. In them you’ll get to see Bill question Pam about Eric, Alcide come to help Sookie and lose his shirt for the ladies while he’s at it, and Jesus and Lafayette plead with Marne to reverse the spell she put on Eric.
True Blood season 4 episode 40 debuts at 9pm EST/PST tonight on HBO.
