In the last episode of True Blood, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) saw their lives take a dramatic turn. Jason would up tied to a bed and was informed that the were-panthers intended to use him to repopulate their bloodline. Eric, meanwhile, had his mind wiped by witch coven leader Marnie (Fiona Shaw).
That episode of True Blood saw an uncharacteristic ratings drop following the season premiere a week earlier. This was due to the episode debuting on HBOGo.com immediately following the premiere. Maybe True Blood fans had already seen it and weren’t interested in catching the live broadcast. HBO doesn’t care which of their portals you use to watch it. They just want you to subscribe and watch it.
In the next episode of True Blood ‘If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin?,’ we’ll get to learn about both Jason and Eric’s fate following their fateful encounters with supernatural beings. You’ll get a taste of Jason below, as well as Bill (Stephen Moyer) flexing his kingly powers, and Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) profanely discussing what happened to them and Eric.
True Blood season 4 episode 39 ‘If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin? truely debuts later this evening at 9pm EST/PST on HBO. Expect a ratings swing upward from last week’s episode.
