Veteran Irish actress Fiona Shaw will jump from one supernaturally charged franchise to another, according to Deadline.
Shaw will join the fourth season of HBO’s True Blood as Marnie, a “timid” storefront owner and palm reader whose body is taken over by a powerful witch. This season four series regular falls in perfectly with showrunner Alan Ball’s claim that season four will be the season of the witch.
Though Shaw has been around expertly playing character parts for a long time, U.S. audiences will most likely recognize her as Aunt Petunia from the Harry Potter franchise. That character probably offers a good read into what you can expect from Marnie when True Blood season four kicks off early next summer on HBO.
