Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Gameplay Revealed in New Trailers

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Gameplay Revealed in New TrailerActivision has unleashed a couple new trailer from High Moon Studios’ Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, both of which offer a first glimpse at what the game’s actual gameplay will resemble.

The first trailer is mostly comprised of cinematic elements as the Autobots and Decepticons battle for Cybertron, a fight that will ultimately determine the fate of Earth. There are some gameplay nuggets mixed in, but mostly what you’re seeing isn’t from a gameplay point-of-view.

The second trailer, however, delivers much more on the gameplay side as introduced and discussed by High Moon. Variety is key in this sequel as Autobots and Decepticons will fight on the ground, in the air, and a combination of both. One example shows a third-person view of a helicopter in flight, complete with a heads-up display. As the helicopter nears the ground, it transforms and the gameplay shifts on melee combat.

Ascension will also play a role in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Most Autobots cannot fly; however, Optimus Prime is able to use an energy whip to lift himself to a higher area.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron arrives in stores on August 28 exclusively on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
