A new trailer has appeared touting the future release of Disney’s Fantasia, Fantasia 2000 and Fantasia World on Diamond Edition Blu-ray Discs (via /Film).
Thanks to a previous Disney announcement we already know Fantasia was slotted for a Blu-ray bow in late 2010. The trailer adds confirmation of Fantasia World which promises never-before-seen animated shorts.
Jon Turteltaub’s live-action The Sorcerer’s Apprentice film starring Nicolas Cage is due in theaters on July 16. That would place its Blu-ray debut in October which is when we’re likely to see Fantasia arrive for the first time in high definition.
Unfortunately the trailer does not reveal if the Fantasia films will only be available packaged as a collection or separately as well. CES this week could provide an official announcement and we’ll be sure to pass it along should one surface.
