Tom Cruise is a fixture right now atop online retailer Amazon.com’s hourly updated Blu-ray bestsellers chart.
On the day director Brad Bird’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt and Jeremy Renner arrives in stores on Blu-ray and DVD, the title sits comfortably atop Amazon’s chart with no signs of budging anytime soon. It’s been hanging around in the top 10 Blu-ray bestsellers ranks for several weeks.
Two spots down on the same chart is the Tom Cruise Blu-ray Collection which includes Collateral, Days of Thunder, Minority Report, Top Gun and War of the Worlds. To be fair, this collection is on sale this week only for only $25, which works out to a measly $5 per movie. It’s hard to say where it would fall on the list if it weren’t on sale.
The week prior, Amazon was running a sale on the Mission Impossible Extremely Blu-ray Trilogy. That’s not too far off the top 10 list at position 15, clearly still riding the Tom Cruise wave of popularity.
