As James Cameron’s Titanic starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio continues to chart a course through cinemas in its new 3D presentation, online retailer Amazon.com has revealed the Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray release date for the second highest grossing film of all time.
According to Amazon, Paramount Home Entertainment will release a Blu-ray 3D combo pack (with Blu-ray, digital copy and UltraViolet digital copy) as well as a Blu-ray combo pack (with DVD, digital copy and UltraViolet digital copy) of Titanic on September 14. The irony of this news coming today is the 100th anniversary of the RMS Titanic hitting the iceberg that sent it to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean occurs later tonight.
The only other information available about this release right now is pricing. The SRP of Titanic on Blu-ray 3D is 54.99, while the Blu-ray is $44.99. Both, of course, are being pre-ordered at Amazon right now for much less.
