When AMC’s The Walking Dead returns for its fourth season in October, Michonne (Danai Gurira) will have found herself a new friend and mode of transportation in the form of a horse named Flame.
This horse symbolizes more than Michonne’s personal choice of transportation. It’s an example of how the world is evolving as the zombie apocalypse ages, where gas becomes premium and cars break down with no one around able to fix them. A horse is more reliable, easier to feed, and can go places a car cannot.
The last time a horse showed up on The Walking Dead it didn’t exactly receive the kindest fate. Let’s hope this horse can stink around for a little while before becoming a zombie entree.
