Every week we take one step closer toward the prison and Woodbury worlds colliding in AMC’s The Walking Dead. Last week’s episode, ‘Say The Word,’ served up a giant leap as Michonne chose to take her chance in the wild and was allowed to leave Woodbury and Andrea behind. Of course, Woodbury is like the Hotel California: you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
The first of two new high resolution The Walking Dead: Season 3 images from this Sunday’s upcoming episode ‘Hounded’ features Glenn (Steven Yeun) on a food and supplies run into the remains of civilization with Maggie. He’s got his gun at the ready. Keep in mind that Michonne (Danai Gurira) is out there on the loose.
Merle (Michael Rooker) is taking aim at someone or something in the second ‘Hounded’ image. He’s clearly outside the confines of Woodbury, and I’m fairly confident that the Governor (David Morrissey) has sent him and a posse to hunt down and kill Michonne before the samurai sword-wielding bad-ass is able to tell anyone else about Woodbury’s existence. You can get a flavor of that confrontation in the promo spot below.
The big question entering this episode is, who is calling Rick on the landline phone? Chris Hardwick on The Talking Dead insinuated that those who read the comics know the answer. I have not, but I am dying to find out. I think MIA Carol would be too easy an answer.
The Walking Dead: Season 3 episode 306 ‘Hounded’ premieres this Sunday at 9/8c on AMC. You can watch an online streaming version of ‘Say The Word’ for a minimal cost at this page on Amazon.com.
