The Walking Dead Season 3 Blu-ray Deleted Scene Puts Merle on Hot Seat

The Walking Dead Season 3 Blu-ray Deleted Scene Puts Merle on Hot SeatThe potential Carol and Daryl hookup on AMC’s The Walking Dead got a new shot in the arm via a deleted scene off the upcoming Season 3 Blu-ray and DVD set.

The scene features Carol (Melissa McBride) speaking with Merle (Michael Rooker) at the prison. Carol calmly tells Merle that she has picked up on his “nice” act to everyone and she isn’t buying it. Without raising her voice or displaying any signs of anger, she tells Merle that if he in any way screws up or messes with Daryl, she will slit his throat while he sleeps.

While Carol is talking, Daryl (Norman Reedus) can be seen in the background within earshot but undetected. Carol never sees him but Merle does, and he can only crack a smile about Carol’s delicate yet brutal threat.

The Walking Dead: Season 3 is set for its Blu-ray and DVD debut on August 27, so a little less than four weeks from now. It will be available in a standard edition as well as an impressive limited edition set with the Governor’s zombie head fish tanks designed by McFarlane Toys serving as the casing. Every previous limited edition Blu-ray set has sold out and this one is expected to as well.
