One of the cooler announcements out of Toy Fair in mid-February was a McFarlane Toys Walker head case for a special limited edition version of The Walking Dead: Season 2 on Blu-ray and DVD. No one at the time of its announcement thought the existence of this Walker head would become one of the biggest leaked spoilers for the show.
Sometime within the past week, AMC added The Walking Dead Limited Edition Season 2 Blu-ray 4-Disc Set on their online store. The listing looks harmless enough with the McFarlane Toys Walker head image up front, screwdriver rammed into its eye socket and all.
Upon closer inspection, the seemingly simple description lists the last episode for a core cast member as one of the bonus features. As in this character’s last episode ever. As in this character will bite the dust, or get bitten first and then bite the dust, within the next few weeks.
I’m not going to divulge who this character is. I’ll talk spoilers up until a point, but this is one I would have rather not seen. It’s not a total surprise given some other news surrounding the show that has come out over the past couple months, but the confirmation drives the point home.
AMC has wisely since pulled the listing and I’m sure someone got reprimanded pretty badly for not reading the description carefully before hitting the publish button.
