The Walking Dead has begun its march toward the Season 2 finale. Shane and Rick have had their first brutal physical confrontation, while the fate of prisoner Randall and the safety of Hershel’s Farm has split the group apart.
Randall has had a rough go of it since first being introduced as a sniper on a rooftop. Since then he has fallen on a fence, had his leg forcefully ripped off the fence by Rick, spent countless hours blindfolded and stuffed in the trunk of a car with music blaring in his ears, come within inches of being executed, being chased by a zombie while tied up, and constantly wondering if the next hour will be his last.
In episode 211 ‘Judge, Jury, Executioner,’ Randall will once again be in harm’s way as Rick and the group hold him in the barn, and Daryl uses his own emotionally fueled version of interrogation on the kid. Maybe we’ll get some closure on the Randall situation this week. Or maybe Randall will continue to be like the Energizer Bunny and keep on ticking.
From one of the preview clips below, Dale will go to Shane for a “man’s talk” about the fate of Randall. Dale’s argument is valid; while killing Randall in cold blood won’t change the fact that there are still “30 of them out there,” it will change the group for committing the act.
‘Judge, Jury, Executioner’ will spend a little more time with Carl compared to the previous several episodes. There’s a spoilerish clip of Carl going on a solo quest below. The outcome isn’t shown, but I’m guessing you can bet what happens after the scene cuts.
