Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the fall 2009 thriller The Stepfather starring Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck), Sela Ward, Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl) and Amber Heard (Zombieland) is coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on February 9.
The release has been dubbed the “unrated director’s cut” by Sony yet appears to share the same 101 minute runtime as the theatrical cut. There could be a typo at play here in the press release but for now assume any changes in the director’s cut are minimal at best.
Tech specs are not confirmed but should include a 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. I do have the final list of bonus features which reads as follows:
