Retailers including Amazon.com have begun taking pre-orders for Paramount’s 2008 horror exploration flick The Ruins on Blu-ray Disc. The July 8 release for the Carter Smith directed film on Blu-ray will be day-and-date with DVD.
Since Paramount has yet to officially announced The Ruins on Blu-ray, we can only speculate at this point that the specs will include a widescreen 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
Likewise, supplemental features will not be available until an official announcement is made. Given the film’s moderate success we expect a healthy dose of supplementals, if not a Blu-ray exclusive or two.
The Ruins on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $39.99. Check back regularly for high resolution cover and the official Paramount announcement.
