Our latest Blu-ray Rumor Report hit this nail on the head as retailers have confirmed the MGM sequel The Pink Panther 2 is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 23.
The Steve Martin and Jean Reno starring comedy sees Inspector Jacques Clouseau team up with international detectives as inept as himself. It made a modest $36 million at the domestic box office and received marginal reviews at best.
MGM’s Blu-ray treatment should follow the template of including a 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
With an SRP set at $39.99 this is expected to be a multi-disc release with a digital copy and/or DVD version included. I’ll know more once MGM issues a press release.
