Sony is hoping The Other Guys starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell will kick up some additional business when it debuts on Blu-ray Disc, Blu-ray + DVD combo format and DVD on December 14 per a pre-order listing at Amazon.com.
The Other Guys may have arrived in theaters during the tail end of summer on August 6 but that didn’t keep moviegoers away. It surprised projects in raking in nearly $118 million in ticket sales in North America and just over $140 million worldwide. The film co-stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Eva Mendes, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton and Anne Heche.
I expect Sony to formally announce The Other Guys for Blu-ray either Monday or within the next couple weeks. All the bonus features will be shared once that announcement is made.
