“Green With Envy” might appear as a new romantic comedy to those who don’t follow movies closely. To those who do, the new poster and teaser trailer released today are clearly for the much anticipated upcoming theatrical return of Jim Henson’s fuzzy creations in The Muppets.
The trailer is especially great as it first plays out like a super cheesy romantic comedy with Jason Segel and Amy Adams playing starstruck lovers to head to Hollywood in pursuit of fulfilling their dreams. When their relationship starts to suffer as a result, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are introduced, and before you know it there are Muppets in – and stealing – every scene.
Disney’s The Muppets is directed by James Bobin and also co-stars Chris Cooper. Watch the trailer promoting the November 23 release date below, then look further down and click the new poster for a larger version that will give you a better chance at spotting the hidden Muppet.
