The Hunger Games Blu-ray Pre-Order Live at AmazonThe Hunger Games is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 18, and as of today, you can secure your copy via Amazon.com.

For $27.99, Amazon is selling the two-disc Blu-ray edition of The Hunger Games that also includes a digital copy. That price works out to 30 percent off the $39.98 list price, right in line with expectations for a new release.

The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. To date it has earned $396.2 million at the domestic box office and $636.7 million worldwide. Most years that would be enough to be the top performer, but that honor goes to Marvel’s The Avengers.

Recently Lionsgate announced The Hunger Games sequel film will be titled The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
