The Fast and the Furious Blu-ray Trilogy Box Art Revealed

Yesterday Universal Studios Home Entertainment revealed plans to release the first three Fast and Furious films on Blu-ray Disc in a trilogy box set on March 24 (read the announcement).

Today we’re following up that announcement with a first look at The Fast and the Furious Trilogy Blu-ray box art. You can see a large version of it by clicking through the disc details below.

It looks like Universal is using the new packaging style introduced with this week’s The Bourne Trilogy box set for The Fast and the Furious. This style features a hard outer case with each film packaged in individual standard Blu-ray cases inside.

Universal has yet to release a television series on Blu-ray Disc so the verdict is still out on how they’ll handle packaging for that. Remember Battlestar Galactica’s packaging misfire on HD DVD? I’d rather not.

Lets hope Battlestar’s eventual Blu-ray debut follows the path of Bourne and The Fast and the Furious. So far, so good.
