The first gameplay footage from Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for presumably Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC has arrived and it delivers the kind of epic experience and blissfully familiar score you’d expect from a new Elder Scrolls game.
The trailer mixes up some sweeping shots of locations throughout the game with a variety of combat footage, much of which is against towering fire-breathing dragons. The dragons will clearly play an important role in the narrative, especially considering you seem to soak up the “essence” of them after they are killed.
Will, at some point in Skyrim, you be able to change into a dragon and take to the air? Given the game’s title and closing trailer shot it’s a door that has to be left open for speculation.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will eat up all your spare time beginning starting on 11-11-11.
