The Eagle starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell landed hard at the box office this past February when it failed to break $20 million in North America. It did, however, exceed $30 million worldwide, higher than its estimated $25 million production budget.
Still, a lot of people missed The Eagle theatrically, but they’ll get a second shot when Universal Studios Home Entertainment releases it on Blu-ray and DVD on June 21.
The Blu-ray edition of The Eagle will come with a slipcover and be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Both the PG-13 theatrical cut and a new unrated version will be stored on a single disc.
Bonus features include an alternate ending, deleted scenes, and a feature commentary track with director Kevin MacDonald. Those supplements will appear on both the Blu-ray and DVD versions.
I don’t have the Blu-ray cover art to pass along just yet but you can get a good idea of what to expect from the small key art image above. That same art will appear on the Blu-ray.
