The CW Fall Premiere Dates Revealed: Vampire Diaries, Arrow, The Originals and More

The CW Fall Premiere Dates Revealed: Vampire Diaries, Arrow, The Originals and MoreThe CW television network has revealed their 2013 fall premiere schedule and, much like last year, is opting to target October rather than late September to deliver a collection of all-new and returning shows, such as The Vampire Diaries and Arrow.

Hart of Dixie kicks off the new programming on Monday, October 7 with what will be the drama’s third season. It will be immediately followed that same night by the Season 2 premiere of Beauty and the Beast, a bubble show that could certainly use any kind of lift piggybacking off Hart of Dixie can deliver.

On Wednesday, October 9, Arrow returns for his second season to patrol what’s left of Starling City and The Glades after the explosive Season 1 finale. Arrow is followed by The Tomorrow People, a new take on the 1970s U.K. series featuring young people who develop superpowers that is from a pair of minds behind Arrow and The Vampire Diaries, Greg Berlanti and Julie Plec, respectively.

Thursday, October 10 brings about the Season 5 premiere of The Vampire Diaries, followed by the series premiere of Reign, an historical drama that bucks the recent genre trend.

The vampire fun continues on Tuesday, October 15 with the series premiere of The Originals, a Vampire Diaries spin-off that got a backdoor pilot during Season 4 of the “original” show this past spring. Fixture Supernatural gets its Season 9 premiere immediately afterward.

The CW’s final new premieres occur on Friday, October 25 with Season 2 of The Carrie Diaries, a show many thought wouldn’t be renewed due to lackluster ratings, but ultimately was. It will lead into another season of America’s Next Top Model: Guys and Girls.
