Universal Studios has alerted retailers to begin promoting a December 11, 2012 release date for the Blu-ray and DVD debut of The Bourne Legacy.
The fourth Bourne film and first to star Jeremy Renner (The Avengers) arrive in theaters this past June and to date has earned over $110 million at the domestic box office. That puts its business well behind the other Bourne sequels and even ahead of the original’s $121 million. With foreign box office business bumping up that total to $201 million, don’t count out a fifth installment just yet.
The Blu-ray edition of The Bourne Legacy will be coupled with the DVD. Look for box art and bonus features to surface when Universal makes their official announcement in the coming weeks.
