The best look yet at Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in The Avengers yet came online yesterday when he, Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) filmed several sequences in downtown New York City.
As per any set images coming from Marvel and Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, a strong spoiler warning applies. Proceed at your own risk.
Based on the series of images from different sources, the scene in question features the trio of superheroes emerging from the wreckage of the Quinjet, the aerial ride of The Avengers that gets damaged at some point in the battle against an as-of-yet revealed alien foe. Once out of the Quinjet, they’re on the run through the wreckage of cars, cabs and the streets they once drove upon.
I tried to piece together some of these images in sequential order so you can see the team at the crash site and then out on the streets. Some are zoomed in versions of others to give you a clearer look.
I’m particularly fond of the fifth photograph. Can you really blame Jeremy there? Here’s a hero to men everywhere.
