One of this holiday season’s bigger Blu-ray releases has a release date as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced plans to release director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and DVD on Friday, November 9.
The four-disc Blu-ray 3D combo pack is the way to go for those looking for the most complete The Amazing Spider-Man home video package. In addition to the obvious 3D 1080p presentation, this set includes a pair of exclusive bonus features: and image progression reel, and the ‘3D 101 with Marc Webb’ featurette that allows viewers to toggle through three scenes from the film at different levels of 3D.
The Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D combo packs will each include these extensive bonus features, followed by pre-order links and cover art. Oddly enough the final four, including deleted scenes, are on the DVD disc so they won’t be offered in high definition.
