Paramount Home Entertainment has announced a March 13, 2012 release date for director Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson’s 3D mo-cap epic The Adventures of TinTin on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD.
The Adventures of TinTin stars Andy Serkis performing his mo-cap magic and is based on the old French comic series. Its domestic box office performance was mediocre with $75.9 million in business; however, overseas ticket sales brings its worldwide receipts to a whopping $371.2 million.
The Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray versions of The Adventures of TinTin will both be presented in 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Aside from the obvious inclusion of the 3D presentation on a separate third disc, both Blu-ray versions are identical and will include DVD and UltraViolet versions of the film.
