Stop Making Sense with The Talking Heads Blu-ray Bound

Palm Pictures is bringing one of the most revered concert films, Stop Making Sense, to Blu-ray Disc on October 13 in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

Stop Making Sense was filmed at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood under the direction of Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs). It features the iconic 80s imagery of front man David Byrne donning an over-sized white suit and busting out in an “art-nerd” dance.

The Blu-ray debut of Stop Making Sense has been remastered from the original 35mm interpositive into 1.85:1 1080p video and either 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio or stereo 2.0 audio.

Bonus features includea pair of songs not featured in the theatrical cut and a never-before-seen press conference as detailed below.

  • Previously unavailable 1999 press conference featuring a rare off-stage gathering of all four members of Talking Heads
  • Video short “David Byrne Interview … David Byrne”
  • Two songs not included in the feature film
  • Storyboard/staging comparison
