Disney Home Entertainment is planning to release Step Up 2 The Streets, the sequel to Step Up, on Blu-ray Disc. The July 15 street date will be day-and-date with DVD, and there are currently no known plans to simultaneously release the original Step Up on Blu-ray.
Step Up 2 The Streets will be presented in widescreen 1.85:1 1080p video and 5.1 uncompressed 48 kHz/24-bit audio.
All supplemental features will be shared between the DVD and Blu-ray versions.

Step Up 2 The Streets on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $34.99. You’ll be able to knock $8 off the price if you purchase Disney’s College Road Trip on Blu-ray at the same time.
