LucasFilm has formally announced that season two of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on October 26. The third season is expected to premiere on the Cartoon Network around this same time.
Season two will span four discs and include 1.78:1 1080p video and, a first for the series, 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. That is if Warner and LucasFilm follow through on their intent. Season one was originally announced with lossless audio but the final product was shipped with an unimpressive lossy 5.1 Dolby Digital mix.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season Two on Blu-ray carries an SRP of $59.99. It has not gone up for pre-order at Amazon.com yet, but should be in the $40 range when it does.
