Now that the new Lucasfilm Animation television series Star Wars Rebels is officially considered part of the Star Wars canon, interest in the series should ratchet up considering places or faces from the series could theoretically pop up in the J.J. Abrams sequel to Return of the Jedi, known simply as Star Wars Episode VII. A new taste of Star Wars Rebels is coming early Sunday with the premiere of a 60-second trailer, but you can get a sneak peek of roughly one-quarter of that trailer right now down below.

The full new Star Wars Rebels trailer will debut onlline this upcoming Sunday, May 4 at 12:01am PST. The date is important to Star Wars fans as it is “May the 4th” day, the unofficial Star Wars holiday that celebrates the venerable franchise.
Star Wars Rebels premieres this fall on the Disney Channel as a one-hour special. It will then transition to Disney XD as an ongoing series.
